This is entirely player preference. Slot machines do not account for how much a player has won or lost to determine the next spin. Each spin is independent and you have the same odds of hitting on the next spin as you did with the previous spin. You should never base your play on number of spins unless you are utilizing it as a tool to keep track of your budget.
