Just came back from a trip to Lake Charles, LA. Here is my trip report.

L'Auberage has decent selections of 3 reel classic slot machines especially Top Dollars, Double Diamonds and Triple Stars. If you want to test out Cowboy Slots advice, this is definutely your playground 😁 I did double my money by just playing the $1 Double Top Dollar machines (both 2 and 3 credits). Restaurants were all great there.
Golden Nuggets has good selections as well. I played both Pinballs and Top Dollars but didn't win much. Ironically I made more money playing penny machines there. If I were to go back, I would rather go during weekdays when it is less crowded.
Horseshoe primarily has penny slots. RTP is non-existence. Not sure how to explain it. I tested out various games in various denoms and didn't see much of "actions". Sure it was not pure bad luck. There was nothing that impressed me. Services and the hotel property were subpar. If you don't like slot area where the lights are super bright and stark, this is not the place for you😅
